USA - Utah - Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City was founded in 1847 by Brigham Young, who led his
followers, the Mormon pioneers, in an exodus through the country,
until they saw the promised land.
Due to its proximity to the Great Salt Lake, the city was named after it.
Today SLC is still home to the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints - with half of its population being members
of the Church.
